Over the past 15 years, MB&F creations have transported their wearers to destinations that exist only on maps of the imagination: from star-cruisers to deep-sea jellyfish, Maximilian Büsser’s Machines are the mechanical cartographers of the multiverse.
But the greatest journey has yet to be undertaken, and true progress is marked by evolution. With the LM Perpetual EVO, you become the navigator; the map is your life. On this journey, you’ll never have to leave your watch behind.
The MB&F collection has welcomed several complications and horologically prestigious mechanisms over the past 15 years, including the record-smashing TriAx that debuted in 2019’s Legacy Machine Thunderdome. In terms of combining prestige, tradition and innovation, however, the LM Perpetual has remained at the apex of MB&F watchmaking savoir-faire since it was introduced in 2015.
A new 44mm case in lightweight and durable zirconium, redesigned to emphasise openness and extreme clarity – thanks also to a generous dose of Super-LumiNova on the time and calendar indications. A specially developed monobloc shock-absorbing ‘FlexRing’ system that makes for the most robust Machine ever to emerge from MB&F. A new “atomic orange” CVD dial plate colour – that is as bright as it is difficult to achieve. A closely-fitted integrated rubber strap for the smoothest wearing experience of any MB&F Machine to date, and water resistance of 80m thanks to its screw-down crown.
In design, in technique, in spirit, this new Machine is an evolution of your story with MB&F. The LM Perpetual EVO is not a watch for sports, it is a watch for life.
After decades conforming to the rules of corporate watchmaking, Max Büsser broke the chains and started a rebellion in 2005; a rebellion called MB&F - Maximilian Büsser & Friends.
MB&F is an artistic concept laboratory based around a simple idea: to assemble collectives of independant watchmaking professionals to develop radical watches - Horological or Legacy Machines. By nurturing teams of talented individuals, harnessing their passion and creativity and crediting each person's essential role, MB&F uses their synergy to become much greater than the sum of its parts. Respecting tradition, but never constrained by it, MB&F reinterprets traditional, high-quality watchmaking into three-dimensional kinetic sculptures.
While MB&F’s futuristic Horological Machines have a firm foundation in the very best of traditional horology, Büsser wanted to pay homage to that rich tradition by imagining the type of timepieces he might create if he had been born 100 years earlier, i.e. 1867 instead of 1967. This gave birth to the more classic Legacy Machine collection, of which the LM Perpetual is a prime example. With the EVO editions, the LM Perpetual gains a new level of liberation offering additional comfort, robustness and legibility.
