MB&F Certified Pre-Owned

LM1 WHITE GOLD

First launched in 2011, LM1 was a tribute to the great innovators of traditional watchmaking, with its monumental central balance, superlatively finished movement, completely independent dual time zones, unique vertical power reserve indicator and elegant case. But it remained an authentic three-dimensional MB&F Machine.

This LM1 in 18k white gold is one of the first LM1 editions launched.

As you would expect, our curated MB&F Certified Pre-Owned timepieces go through a full check-up at our workshop in Geneva, where our watchmakers clean, polish, check water resistance, movement functions and time regulation. If necessary, we restore using our own original parts. And we ship the piece to you anywhere in the world, free of charge.

Local customs duties and other taxes applicable in the country of delivery are borne by the buyer.

Description

The LM1 bears testimony to the enormous talent of its creators, MB&F Friends Jean-François Mojon of Chronode and Kari Voutilainen. Geneva waves, highly polished gold chatons, and bridges with impeccably executed bevels following deliberate internal angles (which can only be finished by hand) showcase the movement’s exemplary finishing. The movement proudly bears the names of both its creators.

LM1 WHITE GOLD

The Creator

Maximilian Büsser and Friends

After decades of conforming to the rules of corporate watchmaking, Max Büsser broke the chains and started a rebellion in 2005; a rebellion called MB&F - Maximilian Büsser & Friends.

MB&F is an artistic concept laboratory based around a simple idea: to assemble collectives of independent watchmaking professionals to develop radical watches - Horological or Legacy Machines. By nurturing teams of talented individuals, harnessing their passion and creativity and crediting each person's essential role, MB&F uses their synergy to become much greater than the sum of its parts. Respecting tradition, but never constrained by it, MB&F reinterprets traditional, high-quality watchmaking into three-dimensional kinetic sculptures.

While MB&F’s futuristic Horological Machines have a firm foundation in the very best of traditional horology, Büsser wanted to pay homage to that rich tradition by imagining the type of timepieces he might create if he had been born 100 years earlier, i.e. 1867 instead of 1967. This gave birth to the more classic Legacy Machine collection, initiated with Legacy Machine No.1.
